‘Born in 1988 and based in Brussels, Patrick Belmont is a Belgian-French music producer, soundtrack composer, visual artist, and performer. His practice is defined by a restless curiosity and a refusal to be confined by the traditional hierarchies of artistic disciplines or cultural spaces.

Trained in art schools and clubs in Lyon and Nantes (Fr), and classically educated in piano for fifteen years, he has embraced electronic music production under the aliases Strapontin, Sam Media and M. Peut-être.  His work extends beyond music: he directs his own music videos (and even a video game) in collaboration with Belgian director Yvan Megal, creates sculptures and visual art exhibited in galleries, and composes for contemporary dance and theater. Occasionally, he also steps onto the stage as a performer, weaving together these diverse threads in live settings.

What unites these seemingly disparate practices is a shared impulse—trying to see what connects us behind our social masks, question norms, and create as freely as possible with queerness and sincerity. His work moves freely between nightclubs, theaters, cinemas, and art galleries, each space informing and inspiring the others. The form may change, but the essence remains: same art, different mediums.’
