Like a painter's canvas, which shows the multiple composition of a landscape in successive layers, Ressac questions our relationship to ecology, time, intranquility and crisis. This research invites us to look at our natural environments, and ourselves, in crisis. The approach chosen allows us to deal with the subject in both an intimate and societal way. This creation combines a plastic installation of modules and a contemporary dance score for 4 dancers. Première of Form 1 - In situ, 30 and 31 March 2023, as part of [Regards sensibles] état du monde, la Vallée, Brussels. "

From Facebook and Instagram to Grindr, Tinder, LinkedIn, and Snapchat, the game transforms the city into a playground for digital validation.</span></p> <p class="p1"><span class="s1">A sharp critique of social media culture, the game exposes the relentless competition for attention and ego that can happen in the online life. In a world where individuals—artists in particular—are compelled to chase public recognition to affirm their worth, the experience pushes this absurdity to its logical extreme. The streets of Brussels shift between the familiar and the nightmarish: crowds of “followers” erupt in applause, spam notifications flood the screen, and real-life admirers chase the player for photos... </span><span class="s1">Through its surreal, darkly humorous world </span><span class="s1"><i>Nervous Days - the game</i> invites players to confront the exhausting, often dehumanizing quest for digital approval. It’s a game about the cost of visibility, the illusion of connection, and the performance of self in the age of social media.</span></p> <h2 class="p2"><span class="s1">With heavy irony</span></h2> <p class="p2"><span class="s1">this artistic creation also serves as a promotional tool for the vinyl release of <em>The End of Logic</em>, the latest album from <strong>Strapontin</strong>. Registering at the heart of the gymnasium means creating a laboratory of contemporary stories of the place and of the bodies that cross it; it’s to highlight all the complexity of the forces that are exerted there - from the entrance to the locker room to the space dedicated to sports practice. It also means resizing this space through the choreographic gesture and nurturing a political reflection to revisit this space through the event and the relationship to the collective as a place of manifestation. These links tell, in their own way of our contemporary times, the politics of the individual and the collective that exist in our societies, and which can be reinvented in dance. In a society where the image of the body wants to be more and more mastered by its performance and its plastic standardization, what kind of body diversity is shown to us on these sports fields? When the gymnasium becomes an agora, what do the choreographies of body activity tell us? Phase 1 of the research was carried out with a first team and presented as a scale model at the Open Space festival in 2020, at the Théâtre de l'étoile du nord (Paris)"
